As Torqeedo motors can connect via Bluetooth to the TorqView app, the onboarding process includes an additional step to pair your motor with the app.
Not only does this ensure you are properly set up, it will also associate the motor with your TorqView account, and synchronize all its components with the app for easier management, maintenance and support.
To connect your Torqeedo motor to the TorqView app, ensure that Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device.
To connect, simply click on the red “Connect” button on the dashboard screen of the app.
The app will search for available Torqeedo motors in the vicinity.
Once your motor appears in the list, select it to initiate the pairing process.
You may be prompted to enter a PIN or confirm a code displayed on both the motor and the app to complete the pairing.
The TorqView app allows you to easily check for and install firmware updates for your Torqeedo motor.
To check for updates, navigate to the “Settings” section of the app and select “Vehicle parts”.
If an update is available, follow the on-screen instructions to download and install it.
Ensure that your motor remains powered on and within range of your mobile device during the update process to avoid any interruptions.
The TorqView app automatically logs and shows you all alerts and error codes generated by your Torqeedo motor.
To view these, click on “Errors” on the dashboard.
