While c.technology does not manufacture hardware, we offer expert guidance on selecting and installing compatible devices for your specific use case, in addition to a range of devices working out of the box with our platform. You can order supported devices via shop.ctechnology.io or through our partners.

Out-of-the-box telematics units

The following devices are fully supported by c.technology and can be used for various applications including boats, motorcycles, and stationary asset tracking.
  • Astra Telematics AT241/242: Compact, powerful, and cost-effective vehicle tracker with NMEA2000 (marine) support.
  • Teltonika FMC130/230: Multi-purpose tracking device for boats and motorcycles.
  • Teltonika FMC640: Advanced tracker with enhanced features, such as NMEA2000 support and external antennas.
  • Teltonika FMC001/003: OBD2 dongle for easy installation in motorcycles and cars.
  • Other Astra Telematics and Teltonika models: Various models available for different use cases.

Auxiliary sensors

In addition, we offer auxiliary sensors that extend monitoring capabilities:
  • Temperature Sensors: Environmental and engine temperature monitoring via Bluetooth.
  • Water Detection: Bilge water and leak detection systems.
  • Mains Detection: Shore power connection monitoring.

Installation and operation requirements

The following points should be considered when installing and operating telematics devices:
  • Power supply: Direct connection to vehicle’s electrical system (12V/24V). Power consumption usually 35mA@12V during operation, and 0.1-3.5mA@12V in sleep mode (depending on device and configuration).
  • Installation safety: Proper fusing and weatherproof connections required.
  • Cellular network: 2G/4G LTE connectivity for data transmission (depending on location and device).
  • SIM card: We can supply or assist with SIM cards for cellular connectivity. Needs data plan for IoT usage.
  • Antenna placement: GPS and cellular antennas require clear sky view.
  • Temperature range: Operating range typically -40°C to +85°C.
  • Vibration resistance: Marine and automotive vibration specifications.
In the future (Q2 2026), we will support devices that can be powered from 48V systems, such as e-bikes and e-scooters.
