# Water sensor

> Documentation of the water sensor device.

A water sensor is a device used to detect the presence of water in a given location.
The water sensor supplied by c.technology works using a floating mechanism that triggers a switch when water is detected.

  Generally, you should not expose electric contacts directly to water due to
  galvanic corrosion. The water sensor prevents this by using the floating
  mechanism and not exposing contacts directly to water.

## Features

c.technology offers a water sensor device that can be connected to our tracking devices via digital inputs.
The water sensor has the following features:

* Detects the presence of water by pushing up a floating mechanism.
* Provides a digital signal that can be read by compatible tracking devices.
* Compact and easy to install.
