# Mains detector

> Documentation of the mains detector / power supply monitoring device.

The mains detector is a device used to monitor the presence of a mains electricity in a given location.
This is common in marine applications to detect if shore power is connected to a boat and thus battery depletion is avoided and on-board systems can be powered directly from shore power (fridges, heating, etc.).

## Features

c.technology offers a mains detector device that can be connected to our tracking devices via digital inputs.
The mains detector has the following features:

* Detects the presence of mains electricity (typically 110V or 230V AC).
* Provides a digital signal that can be read by compatible tracking devices.
* Compact and easy to install.
* Suitable for marine and other applications.
